Friends Forever

I had a chance to take some pictures of four wonderful ladies recently. I had the best time with them. Watching them laugh, and tease one another, and most of all just seeing how awesome they were together hanging out.

Being a spouse, to an Army man, and being moved to Germany has really shown me just how wonderful having good friends, and how much they really are needed in life. I'm glad these ladies have one another!

Some pictures from our session.

It's good to have friends!

Boudoir is love

I got my chance to do a boudoir shoot of a lady who is lovely inside AND out. She's very shy generally, but came out of her shell for the photos.

I learned A LOT during this one, and not just on posing and such, but how good a person can feel in their own skin. Women, in general, are self conscious, and I understand THAT one all too well. But boudoir is about learning to love yourself again. It's a bit of fantasy, a bit of fun, and in the end... you may just find you're a little more self confident, and that you feel better about yourself than you have in a long time. I think everyone is entitled to feel good about themselves, to feel sexy.

SO many of us are housewives, mothers, many of us hold down jobs on top of those things. We go out the door with our old clothes, because our kids had to have new sneakers, they needed this or that, so we put off buying stuff for ourselves. We go to the store with just running a brush through our hair, and maybe make up, maybe. We feel rumpled, we feel stressed, we feel tired, and most of all we feel unsexy! How unfair!

Seeing the happiness that was on Denise's face when she saw her photos was just awesome! She was so happy to see herself in a new light. She never thought she'd do pics like these, but she DID do them, and she's so happy she did. Also, I have to say, her husband was pretty darned happy too!!

An Introduction

Okay, so I'm finally starting a blog.  After all the work I have did today to figure this dang thing out, I can't think of hardly anything to say!  So, let me start with an introduction of sorts.  I'm Kelly, a 36 year old stay at home mom to two boys, one in first grade, the other in second.  My husband is in the Army, and we are currently in Germany!  I have two Dogue De Bordeax's (French Mastiffs) that I love and adore, and I have one pug who lives in the States, and I miss him very much!  I'm, what you'd call, a huge dog lover, pugs are my breed of choice, but I have to say, my mastiffs are a dang close second!

My passion is photography, I love to take photographs and edit them.  It started with my dogs, way back in the day with my film camera, then to my 1 mp camera, then of course my children, and now I am the person I am today.  I continue to learn, grow and share things.  It's wonderful!

I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to read my blog, hopefully it'll get more exciting as time passes!  Before I go, I wanted to thank Morgan Kervin, of www.morgankervin.com for all her advice, help and my awesome logo!

And here's a small piece of my life:
