I always enjoy seeing how my children view the world, their thoughts, their perceptions, it's always interesting, and often funny, or endearing.
I have a very old point and shoot camera, and I decided to let my boys use it for a little photo walk, I wanted to see what they found interesting enough to take photos of, and of course, view life from their angle! Here's some shots from the walk:
Taken by my 8 year old, it's me and my other son, Gunnar.
The Volksfest was getting ready to start up, and my oldest, Odin was all about the Ferris wheel!
Taken by Gunnar, my 7 year old. Most of his came out blurry, but I really liked this one!
We had such a great time taking photos and talking about the things we were taking photos of, we only went around a few blocks, but it took us quite awhile to do it. I really am thinking of doing this more often.
I would suggest for anyone with kids to do this, as it's really a great way of seeing what your child finds interesting, and it makes great memories! You can even make little photobooks, or scrapbooks for them to appreciate when they are older!

I love mommies to be! The wonderful belly's that expand, the glow, the impatience to meet their baby that's growing inside them. It's just so amazing!

Little Red Riding Hood
I love themed shoots! This was one of the funnest shoots I've ever did, and the whole time I kept singing "Little Red Riding Hood", I could not help it! I was insanely happy with the whole concept and the photos..not to mention Denise! She is so much fun, and so willing to "get the shot".
Red doesn't look too worried about that wolf!
On the way to Grandma's House!
What do you have in the basket, Red? (favorite!)
The wolf's point of view.
This shoot was just so much fun, I almost want to take her back out and see what all else we can do!

All American Girl
Last week I had a challenge from a client. Now I've known Amy for a couple of years, and she's an awesome person, as well as... PATRIOTIC! She wanted boudoir, but she wanted to incorporate some of that in with it, and I was more than up for it.
Being married to a military man, for me, has definitely made me more patriotic than I was before. Knowing your husband has been deployed, or is being deployed can change lives forever. You stand taller, you're proud to tell people your husband (or wife) is serving our country, and you more than likely look upon your loved one with a new respect. I know I'm very proud of my husband, and I'll tell anyone!
So you see, being a military wife changes people, I'm glad I get to meet other women and men that feel the same.
Enough about me, onto Amy. You'd never know by looking at her, she's a mother of TWO, yes.. two children, and she has an awesome body...some girls get all the luck :) I wish I could post all of them, but some are just too hot for the internet!

I had to crop the last image for privacy..but let me just say WOW, she rocked that flag!

Snips and Snails?
So they say "Snips, and snails and puppy dog tails, that's what little boys are made of."
I disagree. As a mother of two boys, I know just as well as anyone that little boys can be made of the sweetest things on earth, they just do it a bit more mischievously than little girls, with a twinkle in their eyes.
Meet Noah, such an awesome little guy, and the biggest brown eyes I've ever seen. He was just the cutest little fellow, and just as sweet! I had a ball taking photos of him, and the camera LOVES him!

Erica's Boudoir Debut
While boudoir is still kind of new for me, it was a first time for Erica. What I loved about her is she had the sweetest personality and was up for anything! She was well prepared and even knew a few things that she wanted to do during the shoot, which made it even more fun, because I'm always happy to hear new ideas and see if we can make them work!
I just had to share a few photos of our shoot together, and I think she is adorable, just a really great person and a lot of fun! Here's a few photos from our shoot

Friends Forever
I had a chance to take some pictures of four wonderful ladies recently. I had the best time with them. Watching them laugh, and tease one another, and most of all just seeing how awesome they were together hanging out.
Being a spouse, to an Army man, and being moved to Germany has really shown me just how wonderful having good friends, and how much they really are needed in life. I'm glad these ladies have one another!
Some pictures from our session.
It's good to have friends!

Boudoir is love
I got my chance to do a boudoir shoot of a lady who is lovely inside AND out. She's very shy generally, but came out of her shell for the photos.
I learned A LOT during this one, and not just on posing and such, but how good a person can feel in their own skin. Women, in general, are self conscious, and I understand THAT one all too well. But boudoir is about learning to love yourself again. It's a bit of fantasy, a bit of fun, and in the end... you may just find you're a little more self confident, and that you feel better about yourself than you have in a long time. I think everyone is entitled to feel good about themselves, to feel sexy.
SO many of us are housewives, mothers, many of us hold down jobs on top of those things. We go out the door with our old clothes, because our kids had to have new sneakers, they needed this or that, so we put off buying stuff for ourselves. We go to the store with just running a brush through our hair, and maybe make up, maybe. We feel rumpled, we feel stressed, we feel tired, and most of all we feel unsexy! How unfair!
Seeing the happiness that was on Denise's face when she saw her photos was just awesome! She was so happy to see herself in a new light. She never thought she'd do pics like these, but she DID do them, and she's so happy she did. Also, I have to say, her husband was pretty darned happy too!!

An Introduction
Okay, so I'm finally starting a blog. After all the work I have did today to figure this dang thing out, I can't think of hardly anything to say! So, let me start with an introduction of sorts. I'm Kelly, a 36 year old stay at home mom to two boys, one in first grade, the other in second. My husband is in the Army, and we are currently in Germany! I have two Dogue De Bordeax's (French Mastiffs) that I love and adore, and I have one pug who lives in the States, and I miss him very much! I'm, what you'd call, a huge dog lover, pugs are my breed of choice, but I have to say, my mastiffs are a dang close second!
My passion is photography, I love to take photographs and edit them. It started with my dogs, way back in the day with my film camera, then to my 1 mp camera, then of course my children, and now I am the person I am today. I continue to learn, grow and share things. It's wonderful!
I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to read my blog, hopefully it'll get more exciting as time passes! Before I go, I wanted to thank Morgan Kervin, of www.morgankervin.com for all her advice, help and my awesome logo!
And here's a small piece of my life:
